Alesha and Matthew – American Smooth. Alesha danced quite lightly with good spins and arms. There was something missing though, I just wanted something more. Even so the best tonight.

Gabby and James – Samba. For Gabby there was not quite enough freedom of movement, needs more separation. Volta ’s were a bit hard but overall good. Great determination.

Dominic and Lilia – American Smooth. Dom did well; shoulders lifted at times, needs to learn to lift arms without lifting shoulders. Really good in some places.

Kate and Anton – Samba. Kate had a great start, the first few lines I thought oh good, then the voltas where not hot at all. Again awareness of balance virtually non existent, she made at least 3 mistakes.

John and Nicole – American Smooth. Good lift work from John, he has improved posture. Foot work not good; so the movement suffered.

Kenny and Ola – Samba. Lots of technical errors from Kenny, at times he really didn’t know what was going on. He tried to give a good performance but it didn’t come off.

Kelly and Brendan – American Smooth. Kelly had posture problems, at times however should does make good lines. A good performance, this girl really looks the part though she still has to dance. Definitely not worth a ten even without an illegal lift. Could have been better.

Gethin and Camilla – Samba. Best dance for Gethin so far he has improved, a few timing issues – needs to relax and let go a bit more.

Letitia and Darren – American Smooth. Leticia is improving a lot, a very good performance, slightly lumpy in places.

Penny and Ian – Samba. Good performance from Penny, good use of long boots to shorten the look of the leg. Penny did well to contain long steps from her long legs.

Matt and Flavia – American Smooth. 2 Really good lifts from Matt he performed well; if he could project more and show Flavia off, even better.  

The Dance off.

Gabby and James. Gabby danced her socks off and gave everything to stay in the competition, this was a great performance and better than her previous Samba.

Penny and Ian. Penny also danced better than her previous Samba a much more fluid performance.

Based on these two Samba’s I would have chosen Gabby as I feel there was a lot more to come, we have been cheated. Future performances I feel would have been great, in deed she is one of the best girls on Strictly.

James must be gutted; all the professionals would die to have a partner that was as committed and enthusiastic as Gabby.

Gabby said “its been the best eight weeks of my life” what shame to loose her.

Penny has made it through the dance off; when we get to see Penny dancing Ballroom her height will give her a major advantage over the other celebrities – interesting.

Neither of these two should have been anywhere near the dance off, the system was supposed to stop the wrong dancer leaving the programme and again we have lost the wrong one. Celebs with the biggest following are going to win if this keeps up, let’s hope the best dancer wins.
